Deadpool is offered a place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe by the Time Variance Authority, but instead recruits a variant of Wolverine to save his universe from extinction.. Hugh Jackman said he really was done playing the character of Wolverine after Logan (2017). He then said he regretted that statement after watching the first Deadpool movie and expressed to Ryan his interest in the two characters meeting on the big screen. When asked why he chose to return for this film, he simply said, "I just wanted to do it, and I felt it in my gut", adding that he wanted to have the best possible time ever on a movie set together with Ryan Reynolds. Likewise, Reynolds wanted to work alongside Jackman since the first Deadpool film and was saddened when he (Jackman) retired from the role.. While Wolverine and Deadpool are making their odyssey in the Honda Odyssey, the car’s clock jumps ahead three hours during their conversation.. Elliot Chipman: That’s Deadpool. Kevin Chipman: That’s Wolverine. Deadpool: You damn straight it is. Fox killed him. Disney brought him back. They’re gonna make him do this till he’s 90.. Watched it on IMAX with my parents and it was definitely worth it. It was truly entertaining and fun. Smiling and laughing from the beginning to the end. Also, I never thought I would see some “old” characters and "old/new" characters in this film. Many easter eggs, if you’re that nerd, truly nostalgic. I could say this is one of the best multiverse films ever. Also the soundtrack for this film was great. However, the movie should have been longer because we waited for many years for this prequel. When it ended, it was bittersweet because I grew up with these movies. Thank you Deadpool, our Marvel Jesus…..and Logan, the wrong guy always. :).
